Maybe it's the white clad of the house, the pretty white wooden church, the woodstock vibe of the bride or the way its been captured by The Smiths but today's wedding has a wonderful 70's boho America feel to it that I have completely fallen in love with.

Simple in style with a colour palette of white and green, Logan and Bart's back garden wedding in South Carolina is more boho luxe than festival. It's decor is simple yet elegant and their back garden setting is stylish yet down to earth and still captures that laid back vibe that we all love about an outdoor wedding. This relaxed vibe is also echoed in Logan's bridal style with her gorgeous lace vintage wedding dress worn with converse trainers and tousled wavy hair. She looks so gorgeous and instantly reminded me of Jenny from Forest Gump.

The balance between the elegant styling and laid back garden vibe is why I like this wedding so much. It offers great inspiration for those of you who love the idea of a bohemian outdoor wedding but with a hint of luxury and comfort.

I am not always a traditionalist, and my husband (to-be) knew that an elaborate proposal would not be the thing for me. So even though he had been carrying the ring with him for months, and had talked to my parents well in advance, the proposal itself was relatively spontaneous on a Sunday morning at home. It was simple but heartfelt, warm, and honest and I was in my pajamas! The perfect proposal for us.

Our ceremony was held at Mt Pleasant Presbyterian Church. It was a small and intimate ceremony held at the bride's church that she grew up in. The officiate baptized the bride in Feb 1988 and married her at the same spot in Jan 2016. Music: piano arrangements by Chris Rice: grandmother and mothers walked down to This is My Father's World, bridesmaids (bride's sisters) and bride walked down to Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing.

Our reception was held at the bride's childhood home.

Family, friends, and my home was the inspiration behind our wedding. We just wanted it to be a small wedding with the people we loved the most at my home where I have such wonderful memories. There was no theme. I wanted the day to feel natural and inviting and whatever worked for that season was what won.

Looking back, it was definitely the picture Jessica took of everyone in the church. On the day of, my favourite moment was seeing my family and friends and the groom's family and friends all together at my home in my backyard.
