No longer are the days where everything is drab and simple. We live in a society that visual perspective is everything. The challenge brides now face is ensuring they aren’t upstaged by the bridesmaids. Seeing the spring 2014 collections at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week doesn’t make this task easy. As the shows continue we will bring you more updates from Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. However here is some eye candy that we hope you will consider for your 2014 spring wedding. Alexander Wang created a collection filled with tiny pleated cotton-shirting skirts and baby doll spaghetti-strap dresses that are creative options for bridesmaids.

BCBG Max Azria created a collection that showcased romance in some of the dresses. Soft gentle colors with tulle, embroidered lace and long pleates made the collection exciting.

Derek Lam created a colorful sportswear collection during Merceds Benz Fashion Week. Almost every look Lam created had a cinched waist with minimal tailoring.

Diane von Furstenberg added disco fashion to fashion week. Dresses were flirty, slinky, and showed plenty of skin in creative prints.

Jason Wu started the show with a loose, shimmering gold-beaded halter dress. His collection consisted of airy, loose, slip dresses, halter dresses and evening looks.

Peter Som created a surfing mixed with menswear and the ease of being away at the beach, with a downtown twist,” collection. Perfect for a beach wedding.

Prabal Gurung had fifties in mind with this hyper-colored, hyper-worked, floral-splashed collection.

Zac Posen presented a collection of pink, green and lavendar dresses inspired by Sarah Bernhardt in the 1911 French film La Dame aux Camélias. flutter sleeves, copious ruffles, bias silhouettes, slip dresses and a gown filled the spring collection.

We are truly pleased with the looks from Mercedes Benz Fashion Week and are even more excited for brides and bridesmaids who have weddings planned for 2014. Remember wedding options can be derived from anywhere.  If you aren’t in the traditional mindset, these options above should do just fine.
