Sarah & Benjamin's Devil's Peak Wedding - Wedding Friends

via

We would like to kick off this beautiful summer's Monday morning with Sarah and Benjamin's Devil's Peak Wedding. Getting hitched in the mother city was such a stunning choice for these two. This city has so much to offer and every single corner and wall is the perfect backrop for stunning photos! Photographing this beautiful day was the husband and wife team from Yeah Yeah Photography. Start your week with this lovely wedding!

Planning: Gillian Adams Events | Cake Baker: Chock n Cherry | Dress & Attire: Chrystal Demas

Lovebirds | How did you two meet?

Sarah: We met at a mutual friend's birthday picnic, in Stellenbosch. I was really intrigued
by this quiet, bespectacled guy. We got along really well, from the beginning. What drew
me to him was that we could just talk - for hours!

Benjamin: Yes, we had a picnic during the day and in the evening we went out for
dinner. I just remember that Sarah was, apart from being amazingly beautiful, so serene
and soft-spoken. I was immediately taken by how smart she was. And the more we
talked...the more we talked.

I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?

Sarah: It was a huge surprise - which is surprising in itself, because Benjamin is terrible
at keeping secrets. It was absolutely perfect, though. A rooftop in the city, and an
amazing dinner after!
Benjamin: I planned an evening in the city. I wanted to take her somewhere where she
could look over the cityscape. When we got to The Waiting Room in Long Street there
were, unfortunately, already some girls on the roof. Fortunately, a very helpful barman
got them to come down. Sarah stood against the railing and took in the view. When she
turned around I already had the ring out. The rest is a blur.

The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?

Sarah: When we exchanged our self-written vows - that was an incredibly special
moment.

Benjamin: The wedding day went by so quickly, which is a pity, but the memory that
sticks with me, is seeing Sarah enter the church for the first time. I will never forget her
face and I will never forget how perfectly complete that moment felt. Everything that I
felt was reflected in Sarah's face: The joy and the flowing tears.

I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day

It was magic - from start to finish.

Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides

Be present. The day goes by so quickly, so soak it in. Don't sweat the small stuff - your
day is so much more important than what the napkins look like!
